DodaTech is operated by WholeSale2c (“DodaTech”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with dodatech.com, store.dodatech.com, our associated subdomains, websites, desktop applications, browser extensions, digital products, software licenses, and related services.

Our approach is based on privacy by design, local-first processing, and data minimization. We aim to collect and process only information that is reasonably necessary to operate our websites, process purchases, provide customer support, deliver software and licenses, maintain security, and meet legal obligations.

1. Our Privacy Approach

We design our software with a strong preference for local processing.

Where a DodaTech application is designed to operate locally, the application’s normal functionality is performed on the user’s device rather than by uploading the user’s files or personal content to DodaTech servers.

Unless a product’s documentation or a product-specific privacy notice states otherwise:

  • We do not use our desktop applications to sell or monetize users’ personal information.
  • We do not intentionally collect the contents of users’ personal files for advertising or profiling.
  • We do not use covert activity tracking or behavioral profiling in our desktop applications.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade customer personal information to data brokers or advertisers.
  • Files processed by local-first applications are intended to remain on the user’s device.
  • Product-specific online functions, such as license activation, update checking, online services, or third-party integrations, may involve limited network communication as described in the applicable product documentation.

Important: “Local-first” does not mean that every DodaTech product is permanently offline. Some products may require internet connectivity for activities such as downloading updates, validating a license, accessing an online service, or communicating with a third-party service. Where such functionality exists, we aim to disclose it clearly.

2. Information We Process

The information we process depends on how you interact with DodaTech.

2.1 Website Visitors

When you visit our websites, our hosting and security infrastructure may automatically process limited technical information such as:

  • IP address;
  • browser and operating-system information;
  • requested pages or resources;
  • date and time of requests;
  • referring URL, where available; and
  • basic technical and security information.

This information may be processed for purposes including:

  • operating our websites;
  • preventing abuse and malicious activity;
  • detecting and mitigating security threats;
  • diagnosing technical problems;
  • maintaining service availability; and
  • protecting our infrastructure.

Where server logs are retained, we seek to retain them only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes or as required by applicable law.

3. Online Store and Digital Purchases (store.dodatech.com)

When you purchase a product through store.dodatech.com, we process information necessary to complete and support the transaction.

Depending on the purchase, this may include:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • billing information;
  • country or tax jurisdiction;
  • order number;
  • transaction reference;
  • purchased products;
  • license or entitlement information;
  • download or delivery information; and
  • information required to provide customer support.

Digital Delivery Policy

All software products, digital licenses, and download links are delivered electronically to the customer’s email address immediately upon successful payment confirmation. No physical shipping is required.

Depending on the product, delivery may include a download link, software installer, product key, license key, or activation code.

4. Payment Processing

Payments are processed through third-party payment service providers made available during checkout (such as Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, or other providers presented during checkout).

DodaTech does not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers, CVV/security codes, UPI PINs, or online-banking passwords on its own systems.

Payment providers independently process payment information under their own privacy policies and terms. You should review the privacy notice of the payment provider used for your transaction for information about its handling of payment data.

5. Software Applications

DodaTech develops and distributes software applications intended to perform many functions locally on the user’s device, including:

  • DodaZIP
  • Doda Media Player
  • DodaEmail Client
  • Doda Antivirus + Total Security
  • Doda Shredder
  • Doda Browser
  • Doda Toolkit
  • Other current or future DodaTech applications.

The privacy characteristics of an application depend on its functionality:

Local File Processing

Where an application performs file compression, media playback, file deletion, system utilities, or similar functions locally, the files required for those functions are processed on the user’s device. DodaTech does not intentionally upload those files to its servers merely to perform the local functionality.

Email Applications

If a DodaTech application provides email functionality, such as DodaEmail Client, email messages, contacts, account information, and credentials are handled by the application and the user’s selected email service according to the configuration chosen by the user. DodaTech does not intentionally receive or store users’ email passwords or email message contents on DodaTech servers merely because the user uses the application.

Security Software

Security products may perform local scanning and analysis of files and system activity. Some security products may require network connectivity for activities such as:

  • downloading security definitions;
  • checking software updates;
  • obtaining threat intelligence;
  • checking file reputation information;
  • validating licenses; or
  • other security-related online services.

If a particular product transmits information to a DodaTech server or third-party security service, the applicable product documentation or product-specific privacy notice will describe that processing.

6. Software Licenses, Activation, and Updates

Some DodaTech products may require a license key, product key, activation code, account, or online activation.

Where applicable, we may process limited information such as:

  • license or product key;
  • order number;
  • email address;
  • activation status;
  • product/version information;
  • activation date and time; and
  • limited technical information necessary to prevent abuse or unauthorized licensing.

We may also provide software updates through DodaTech servers or third-party distribution infrastructure. If a product does not require online activation, we will not require online activation merely for the purpose of collecting personal information.

7. Browser Extensions

DodaTech may provide browser extensions (such as DurgaShield, DodaInbox, and Notes for Gmail).

Browser extensions process information that is necessary for the functionality requested by the user. Unless a product-specific notice states otherwise:

  • DodaTech extensions do not intentionally record users’ keystrokes for tracking purposes.
  • DodaTech extensions do not intentionally track users’ general browsing history for advertising purposes.
  • Extension settings may be stored locally in the browser.
  • DodaTech does not sell extension data to advertisers or data brokers.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our websites may use cookies or similar technologies strictly necessary for normal website operation:

  • maintaining shopping-cart functionality on store.dodatech.com;
  • maintaining a user session;
  • remembering preferences (e.g., dark/light theme);
  • authentication and security;
  • load balancing; and
  • basic technical operation.

We do not use cookies for covert behavioral profiling. If non-essential tracking technologies are introduced in the future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate consent mechanisms.

9. Customer Support and Communications

If you contact DodaTech, we may process the information you voluntarily provide (name, email address, order number, license information, and support descriptions) to:

  • respond to your request;
  • provide technical support;
  • resolve purchase or licensing problems;
  • recover legitimate purchase information; and
  • improve our services where appropriate.

We do not use customer support information to sell personal information to third parties.

10. Information Sharing and Disclosure

DodaTech does not sell, rent, lease, or trade personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

We may disclose limited information only when reasonably necessary for:

  • processing and delivering an order;
  • providing customer support;
  • processing payments;
  • operating our infrastructure;
  • preventing fraud or abuse;
  • protecting the security of our services;
  • complying with applicable statutory law or valid legal processes; or
  • protecting the rights, property, or safety of DodaTech, our users, or others.

11. Data Retention

We seek to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. For example, purchase and accounting records may need to be retained for periods required by applicable Indian taxation and consumer protection laws even if a customer requests deletion of other information.

12. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and DPDP Act 2023)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights concerning personal data processed about you:

  • request access to your personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of information where legally permitted;
  • request restriction of or object to certain processing; and
  • lodge a complaint with a relevant data-protection authority.

13. India — Digital Personal Data Protection Framework

DodaTech operates from India and handles digital personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and associated rules, adhering to transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, and reasonable security safeguards.

14. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information (including TLS/HTTPS encryption, access controls, and secure hosting). However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Last Updated date at the top of this page will reflect any material revisions.
